Hey there Owls!
Let’s be real, college gets BUSY. Between classes, group projects, club meetings, and trying to have some sort of social life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Sometimes you just need a break that doesn’t involve scrolling on your phone or taking another nap.
That’s where sports at Kennesaw State University come in. Whether you’re looking to blow off steam, hang out with friends, or just feel something other than stress, KSU sports has you covered.
We’re breaking down where to go and what to expect so you can make the most of campus athletics—even on your busiest days.

Fifth Third Stadium (Football Games)
To start things off, if you haven’t been to a football game yet… what are you doing? Located right on campus, Fifth Third Stadium is the place to be on game day.
From tailgates to the marching band to the sea of black and gold, the energy is unmatched. Even if you don’t know all the rules (no judgment), it’s still an experience worth having. Grab your friends, show up early, and enjoy the atmosphere.
Pro Tip: Student giveaways are real—t-shirts, towels, sometimes even food. Get there early if you want the good stuff!
Convocation Center (Basketball & Volleyball)
Moving on to indoor vibes, the Convocation Center is perfect when you want something a little more lowkey but still exciting.
Basketball and volleyball games here feel more personal—you’re closer to the action, and it’s easier to really get into the game. It’s also a great option if you’re short on time since games are quicker and easier to fit between classes.
If you’re not into big crowds but still want that school spirit, this is your spot.
Intramural Fields & Recreation Center
Not really into watching sports? No problem—play them instead.
KSU’s intramural fields and rec center are perfect for when you need to move your body and clear your mind. Whether it’s pickup basketball, flag football, or just hitting the gym, it’s an easy way to stay active without a huge time commitment.
Plus, it’s a great way to meet people without the awkward “let’s exchange numbers” moment. You just show up, play, and vibe.
Club Sports Scene

Last but not least, if you want something in between casual and competitive, club sports are where it’s at.
From soccer to rugby to more niche sports, these teams are student-run and super welcoming. It’s a great way to stay involved in a sport you love (or try something new) without the pressure of varsity athletics.
Pro Tip: Most clubs are open to beginners, so don’t be intimidated—everyone starts somewhere.
So… Why Should You Go?
Whether you’re stressed, bored, or just looking for something different to do, KSU sports give you an easy escape from the daily grind.
It’s not just about the game—it’s about the experience, the people, and the memories you make in between everything else. So next time you’ve got a free hour (or honestly, even if you don’t), skip the scroll, grab a friend, and check out a game or activity.
You might just find your new favorite way to unwind. 🖤💛
Let us know—are you more of a game-day fan or a rec center regular?
